Have You Ever...

Wondered how to get a stubborn cat to enjoy the company of a hyper pomeranian? We've got the solution for you right here! All you need is some catnip spray (yes, they do make such a thing) and a tail.

Note: No animals were harmed in the making of this movie. :)

Hiking in Boulder

Today was the first day of my week off for Fall Break. We spent the day in Boulder and started it out by hiking in Chautaqua Park.
The drive to Boulder.

Looks like home! (Plus mountains)

The beginning of our trek. We've done the hike before but took a different route and obviously ended up somewhere different!

Keats was such a trooper...I was dead tired about 5 minutes in, but he waited for me like a well-trained pup. I mean, like a good boyfriend... :D

The views were SO worth my pain!

LOOK AT HOW TALL THAT "STEP" IS!

Looking over the CU campus. It's so pretty!

Last, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOMMY! You're the best and I miss and love you so much!
(We met the guy behind me coming down the mountain and he said he left his girlfriend behind because she was so tired! He asked "Do you think I should go back for her?" UUUH, YEAH! He clearly didn't, hence the waiting!)

Our Sunday Night (Round 2)

Sunday nights seem to be our cooking nights. This time around we made Zuppa Tuscana (my favorite Olive Garden soup) and while we were waiting, we had some shrimp cocktail. The chidlets could smell it and wanted it bad!

Some ingredients for the soup (minus the carrot, that was mine to nom on).

Hi, shweets. (You're welcome for cutting off your head!)

Typical fighting for these two. Bagheera loves to smack Nixy's head.

Keaton's new favorite snack. Pretzel chips (by Snack Factory) and hummus. I had gotten hummus a couple times and he insisted that he didn't like it. But, like a child, after trying it he decided he really liked it!

The finished product. I remember one time I sent a picture to my mom and she said "I bet it tastes good, but it really doesn't look good." Hahaha, thanks ma! It DOES taste so good though!

Family cuddles!

Nixon kept trying to move closer and closer to Bagsy without him knowing....

He walked right up and snuggled with Bagheera's butt, haha.

It didn't last too long though.

Giving him a nasty glare (I'm sure).

"Fine then, I'll move up here and you'll NEVER get me!"

Millenium Park and More from Chicago

We visited Millenium Park on this trip and that was a first for both of us. They had these weird fountains that were....well, weird.
But everyone seemed to love them!

The BEAN! It's actually called Cloud Gate and from this picture I think you can see why! You can barely tell the sculpture is there.

A shot of the orchestra hall.

Beautiful!

Can you spot us?

Matt receiving one of his awards at the banquet. I was a little too slow on the camera!

My favorite mommy :)
We had a drink at the top of the John Hancock building on the last night. This is the coolest picture I think I have ever taken!
