HERE IT IS!!

I'm sure that you are all just WAITING for me to post pictures of our new place (hehe)...well, the time has finally come!
This was our old apartment the day before moving. YIIIIKES!
Seriously, I don't know how two people have so much stuff. It is unbelievable!
Bagsy Boy was super tired. Keats took this picture because he loved how Bagheera was laying on his paw.
There is our wonderful moving team! We had the hardest time fitting everything into that teeeeeny tiny trailer. Well, I guess we didn't even fit the mattresses in. They were strapped to the top of the Jeep that poor Keats had to drive!
The beautiful view that greeted us as we drove into Longmont.
Okay, okay...I know these pictures aren't of our apartment necessarily but I know that if I don't get them posted now, I will probably forget about them. This was from one of the days we babysat Keaty's nephew, Kasen. He and Bagheera had a love/hate relationship. Kasen loved Bagheera and Bagheera hated Kasen... :)
The cat never took his eyes off of the baby....
Hey! Are you under there?! I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!
This is the view of the living room as you walk in our front door.
Love our "dining room" area! We ate our first meal in here this past week.
The openness of this apartment is so great because our old apartment was so closed off and stuffy.
Mom got me the owl flower pot that is sitting on top of the fridge when we moved to our last apartment. I don't have the greenest of thumbs (or a green thumb at all), so the flower pot is now holding drink koozies! Do you see the owl spoon rest on the stove? I got that at TJ MAXX for $3.99 - I think it is so cute!
The hallway to the bathroom, guest bed and master bed.
Great bathroom (to us, anyways!)...Our last bathroom was dark and the ceilings were very low. As I said before, this entire apartment seems so much brighter and airier.
Hey Jen, I found one of those carts at Sam's Club! It's great!
Bagheera's bedroom :) PS: Have you noticed him in each of the pictures? Have you ever read any of the Mercer Mayer books with the spider and/or mouse on each page? Kids like to spot them and I feel like that's what Bagheera is in the pictures for! Hahaha
The utility closet is on the left and our bedroom is at the end of this loooong hallway.
Keats still isn't all the way unpacked and organized, hence the laundry baskets and totes!
The oddly placed door leads to our garden level patio. Seems safe, right? (UGH!)
Lovin' this closet space! (And my pink robe...I love robes.)
Another view of the living room and our AWESOME furniture that my AWESOME Mom gifted us! We keep blankets on the chairs and couch because of Bagheera's back claws which will soon be gone. Shh, don't tell him.

Why is our furniture so AWESOME? Because all pieces can either be laid all the way flat, or partially reclined. That is why! So yes, Jen, we CAN fit a family of seven with these AWESOME sleeping arrangements! ;)

Thank you again to Mom, Amy and Ivy for helping us move! We had some great times and made unforgettable memories let me tell ya!

Living in the "Real World"

I think everyone's after-college fears are making it in the big so-called "real world." It was definitely scary for me, moving out to Colorado, trying to find a job in the real world and making things work TWO STATES away from my great, wonderful, awesome family (and friends).

Keaton was lucky enough to be able to transfer to an actual Target store (not distribution center as before) here in Longmont. I believe he is a guest services attendant, but I really couldn't tell you his exact title. He's really liking it, though!

I was asked to do two interviews the Monday after we moved to Longmont -- talk about good timing! One interview was for a child care director for a before and after school program. The second interview was for a paraprofessional (pretty much an aide) in the preschool special education program at the same elementary school. I was hired for both jobs (HOORAY!) but decided to take the para job as it had better hours and it would tie in with my major better.

I was so lucky to land both jobs and I still can't believe that I HAVE job right now. So happy for that! I had to go to meetings all last week and then Thursday and Friday we had orientation with the kiddos and their parents. Today was our first actual day of school and everything went really well. I'm loving it! I still can't believe how tired I am at the end of the night....I have been in bed by 9:45 for most of the past week. Uff da! (When I say 'uff da' in Colorado, people look at me funny!!)

I'm sorry I haven't gotten pictures posted of our apartment yet. I am cleaning the apartment tonight and then maybe I'll get pictures and make a new blog. I do have to add that I LOVE LOVE LOVE not having homework at night. It's such a change. A good change, though! ;)

Visit our blog again soon!

WE MADE IT!

We finally made it to Colorado with the help of Mom, Amy and Ivy. We were so lucky to have them around to help load up the cars and Uhaul trailer. I will post pictures later but we had that thing packed to the brim! Due to poor planning (and way too much JUNK!), we had to leave behind Keaton's favorite recliner. We asked our elderly neighbor lady if she wanted it and luckily she did. It saved Keats from having to haul it to the dumpster! We strapped the mattress and box spring to the top of the jeep...that was a sight. We looked like the biggest hillbillies.

We don't have the internet at home yet but I will post pictures as soon as we get it! (And as soon as everything is put nicely in it's place.)

We are safe and loving Colorado. :)
