Hey! Guess what?

I GRADUATED!

After five very long years, I have finally graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. Hooray!! Thanks to everyone for sending your thoughts (and very nice cards and generous gifts!) my way on the 7th!

Michelle Obama spoke at commencement and I thought she did a really great job -- so glad, since everyone seemed to be against her coming. You can look at an article about graduation events and the first lady's speech here. I'd rather you just read that so I don't have to type more about it. ;)

My family and I went to Sakura (if you've been reading lately then you know about my obsession!) for lunch and had great entertainment and delicious food. I swear that I will never get sick of that place. I decided to only have sushi because the other food fills me up too much and makes me sleeeeepy. Turns out I only ate about 5 pieces of the sushi anyway, haha.

Keats was the camera man and got some of these pics...

The UNI-dome was PACKED -- some people got there at 8am. I didn't even have to be there until 9:30...jeesh!

The "opening flame" at Sakura

My sushi plate. Nobody else likes sushi so it was all mine :)

The onion volcano

On the menu they have the "Sakura Birthday Special" complete with birthday singing, a framed photo, and a dessert, so OF COURSE my mom asked if they'd sing a graduation version to me. Guess what? They did...

We seemed to enjoy it, haha :)

I KNOW this picture is terrible but I just wanted to share it...it makes me so happy :)
Wish Tylo would have been there!

Our scanner is terrible so I just took a picture of a picture. Come visit us and I'll show you in person. ;)

The Monday after graduation was my friend Trav's birthday. We went golfing with him and his girlfriend and then went to Chuck E. Cheese with a big group of our friends. I honestly haven't been there since I was 8 (maybe?) years old! It was a fun time and we got this sketched picture with one of our tokens...

Not bad, huh?

As you know, we're planning to move to Colorado in August and we're both very excited. Please send good thoughts our way...we're applying for jobs and house hunting from Iowa. STRESSFUL! But hey, you will all have a place to visit now, because we know that we will miss everyone here and....

YOU WILL MISS US! (So pleeease come visit!)
